Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a planned greenfield industrial smart city in Gujarat, developed under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor as a high-tech, future-ready hub for manufacturing, logistics and modern urban living.
Dholera Special Investment Region is being developed as India’s first large-scale greenfield industrial smart city near Ahmedabad. It is notified under the Special Investment Region Act 2009, with Dholera Special Investment Regional Development Authority (DSIRDA) responsible for planning and regulation.
Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, is implementing trunk infrastructure, utilities and smart-city systems as part of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
The development plan aims to create an economically & socially balanced futuristic city, focusing on sustainability, clean energy, efficient transport, and superior urban experience.
Dholera SIR has been designed with robust air, rail, road & sea connectivity ensuring seamless movement of goods and people.
Phase-1 includes a 22.5 sq km Activation Area with completed smart infrastructure, utilities, ICT systems, and green mobility corridors.
